입점 유형 및 비용

[ 유형 ]

• 체험부스 - 아프리카의 문화와 체험 활동 제공, 유관 기관 홍보

• 마켓부스 - 아프리카 감성 가득한 패션, 공예, 디자인 상품 등 셀러

• 푸드부스 - 다양한 아프리카 지역의 음식, 디저트, 음료를 맛볼 수 있는 셀러

[부스 제공사항]

• 목공 또는 파라솔 부스 상단 현수막, 전기, 책상(120*60), 의자

• 부스 가로 규격 2.5-3m, 책상 2개, 의자 4개 제공

• 정확한 부스 규격과, 제공 물품 등의 세부 사항은 추후 공지될 예정입니다.

[입점 비용] (VAT별도)

• 판매 부스 : 39만원

• 미판매 부스 : 19만원 (판매 부스의 약 50% 할인 가격)

※ 판매 부스의 경우, 참가자가 금전을 지불하는 활동이 포함되는 모든 경우가 해당됩니다.

(상품 및 식음료 판매, 후원금 모집 행위, 유료 체험 등) 

※ 참가비는 부스 설치 비용의 일부로 활용되며, 참가 단체의 적극적인 참여를 도모하기 위한 목적입니다.

• 법인 및 개인사업자 (사업자등록증 필수)

• 사업자등록 되어 있지 않은 기관의 경우 대표자 신분증 사본 제출

• (식품 판매 시) 위생 관련 허가 소지자

• (주류 판매 및 시음 시) 주류 판매 및 시음주 허가증 취득자

입점 요건

본 축제는 '아프리카'를 주제로 한 행사로, 다음의 기준에 부합하는 기관 및 단체만 부스 참가가 가능합니다.

• 출품(전시 또는 판매) 콘텐츠가 아프리카 대륙의 국가, 문화, 인물, 역사, 자원 등과 직접적이고 명확한 관련성이 있어야 합니다.

• 콘텐츠의 아프리카 연관성은 객관적인 설명이 가능하고 제3자도 명확히 인지할 수 있어야 하며, 주최 측이 그 타당성을 판단합니다.

• 예시

✔ 가능한 경우: 나이지리아 커피, 세네갈 공예품, 남아공 패션 브랜드, 아프리카 출신 셰프가 운영하는 음식점

✘ 불가능한 경우: 한국 전통음식(예: 비빔밥), 일반 핸드메이드 소품, 아프리카와 무관한 기업 홍보 등

 

III. 주요 일정 안내

오리엔테이션 

• 일시: 2025.08.25(월) 19:00-21:00 (비대면 진행)

• 비대면 오리엔테이션 부스당 1인 이상 필수 참석 - 불참시 축제 참여 불가

• OT에서는 기관별 최종 배치도 확정 등 주요 사항들이 결정될 예정이오니, 반드시 참석해주시기 바랍니다.

본행사 

• 준비 : 2025.09.13(토) 09:00 - 11:00

• 진행 : 2025.09.13(토) 11:00 - 19:00

• 철수 : 2025.09.13(토) 19:00 - 19:30

IV. 입점 시 유의사항

안전하고, 환경친화적이며, 운영사와 시민이 모두 만족할 수 있는 축제를 함께 만들어가기 위해 아래 유의사항을 반드시 확인하신 후 신청 부탁드립니다.

콘텐츠 가이드라인 준수

※ 콘텐츠 가이드라인에 위배되지 않는 내용의 기관(개인)만 참여 가능합니다.

  가. 아프리카와 직접적으로 관련된 콘텐츠를 중심으로 소개

  나. 아프리카의 비극과 부정적인 이미지를 자극적으로 강조하는 내용 제한

  다. 특정 종교 및 정당을 지지하는 내용 제한

  라. 참가자들의 안전에 위험을 줄 수 있는 내용 제한

  마. 큰 소음 등 주변 부스에 피해를 주는 내용 제한

• 일회용품 사용 억제, 환경 친화적 소재 활용, 쓰레기 발생을 최소화 하는 환경 보전 노력에 적극 동참 부탁드립니다.

• 한 기관(개인) 당 부스는 1개만 가능

• 기부금 영수증 발행 불가

환불 규정

• 천재지변, 건강, 경조사 등의 불가피한 이유로 참가가 불가한 경우, 해당 내용을 작성해  8월 28일 (일) 자정까지 축제 사무국에 공유해주시면 100% 환불 가능합니다.

• 단순 변심에 의한 취소의 경우 접수 이후 환불 불가합니다

주류 판매 시 필요한 사항

1) 한시적 영업신고 또는 임시주류판매 허가

기본 원칙: 한국에서는 주류 판매는 ‘주류판매업 면허’ 없이는 불법입니다.

하지만, 축제·행사 등 일회성 행사에 한해 예외적으로 ‘한시적 주류 판매 허용’이 가능합니다.

• 관할 세무서 또는 관할 구청 위생과에 문의

• 일반적으로는 행사 주최 측 명의로 신청해야 함

➡️ 신청 서류 예시:

• 행사 계획서

• 주류 판매 계획서 (판매 대상, 종류, 수량, 가격 등)

• 장소 사용 허가서 (또는 행사 개최 허가서)

• 사업자등록증 (있을 경우)

• 주류 구매 증빙 (정식 도매상 통해 구입한 영수증 등)

2) 주류 구매: 정식 유통 경로 이용 필수

• 일반 마트에서 구매한 술로 판매하면 불법

• 반드시 주류 도매업체 또는 제조사를 통해 "판매용"으로 구매한 술이어야 함

• 세금 신고 및 추적 가능한 정품이어야 함

3) 미성년자 주류 판매 금지 조치

• 판매 부스에 미성년자에게 판매 금지 표기 필수

• 신분증 확인 절차 마련 필요

4) 보건증 (건강진단결과서)

• 주류를 직접 서빙하거나, 안주와 함께 제공하는 경우, 해당 인원은 보건증 소지 필수

V. 자주 묻는 질문

Q. 비용을 더 내면 부스를 2개 이상 신청 할 수 있나요?

A. 한정 된 공간으로 인해 참여 기관(개인)으로 선정 되실 경우, 한 기관(개인)에게 부스는 최대 1개만 제공 가능합니다.

Q. 주차는 어디서 할 수 있나요? 주차권(할인권)이 제공되나요?

A. DDP 주차장은 디자인랩 지하 1,2,3층에 위치하고 있으며 잔디언덕 아래쪽 도로 (동대문역사문화공원 남측에 접한 도로) 에서 DDP 주차장 입구로 진입하실 수 있습니다. 주차장은 유료이며, 부스 참가 기관(개인)에게 별도의 주차권이나 할인권이 제공되지 않음을 양해 부탁드립니다.

Q. 부스 운영에 필요한 물품 운반을 위해 DDP 내 차량 진입이 가능한가요?

A. 행사용 시설물 설치 및 운반을 위한 차량 출입이 불가하오니 부스 운영 준비를 위한 물품 운반시에는 인근 도로에서 인력 등으로 운반되어 설치될 수 있도록 하여 주시기 바랍니다.

Q. 전기를 사용할 수 있나요?

A. 네, 모든 부스에는 노트북, 핸드폰 등의 기본 전자 기구를 충전할 수 있도록 전기와 멀티플러그가 제공 됩니다. 각 부스 당 1kW 이하로 사용을 부탁드리며, 용량이 높은 전열기구를 사용할 경우 반드시 사전에 협의 부탁드립니다.



Q: 저희는 커뮤니티로 참가하고자 합니다. 음식, 음료 또는 주류 판매가 가능한가요?

A: 가능합니다. 다만, 한국 내 관련 법규에 따라 아래 필수 서류를 모두 갖춘 경우에만 판매가 허용됩니다.

• 사업자등록증

• 일반 음식점 영업신고증

• 주류 소매업 면허 (주류 판매 시에만 해당/영업신고증을 보유하고 있는 경우 한시적 판매를 위한 면허를 따로 발급 가능)

하지만 대부분의 커뮤니티가 이러한 서류를 보유하고 있지 않은 점을 감안하여, 아래와 같은 대체 방안을 안내드립니다.

1. 정식 등록된 식당과 협업: 한국에서 정식 운영되고 있는, 사업자등록증과 영업신고증을 보유하고 있는 식당과 협의하여 해당 식당 명의로 판매할 수 있습니다.

2. 대사관과 협의 후 공동 운영: 해당 국가 대사관이 축제 참여를 지원하기로 결정할 경우에만 가능합니다. 사전 협의가 필수이며, 대사관의 자율적인 판단에 따릅니다.

⚠️유의사항:

식당 또는 대사관과의 협의 및 컨택은 커뮤니티에서 직접 진행해야 하며, 아프리카인사이트는 별도의 중재나 연결을 제공하지 않습니다. 식당이나 대사관과의 협의가 모두 어려운 경우 관련 법규에 따라 음식, 음료, 주류 판매가 허용되지 않습니다.

We are now accepting applications from organizations and individuals interested in operating booths at the 8th Seoul Africa Festival (2025), where vibrant and diverse cultures

from the African continent will be introduced to citizens and visitors.

Become a valued partner in showcasing the richness of Africa and co-creating a meaningful and memorable festival experience.

I. Festival Overview

• Dates: September 13 (Sat), 2025, 11:00 - 19:00 KST

• Venue: Seoul Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), Oullim Square and surrounding areas

• Hosted by: Africa Insight (NGO), Seoul Design Foundation, African group of Ambassadors in Korea

II. Booth Application Details

1. Application Overview

• Application Period: August 2 (Sat) – August 14 (Thu), 2025 (by 23:59 KST)

• Result Announcement: August 19 (Tue), 2025, 6 PM (via email)

• Booth Location: Oullim Square, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP)

2. Booth Types & Fees

[Types]

• Experience Booths: Activities and promotions related to African cultures or organizations

• Market Booths: Sales of African-inspired fashion, crafts, and design products

• Food Booths: Sales of food, beverages, and desserts representing various African regions

[Booth Inclusions]

• Wooden or parasol-style booth, overhead banner, electricity, 2 tables (120×60 cm), 4 chairs

• Booth width: approx. 2.5–3m (exact specifications to be provided later)

[Fees] (VAT not included)

• Sales Booth: 390,000 KRW

• Non-sales Booth: 190,000 KRW (approx. 50% discount on sales booth price)

※ A "sales booth" includes any activity involving payment (product/food sales, donations, paid experiences, etc.)

Participation fees are partially used to cover booth setup costs and to promote active engagement by participants.

Payment instructions will be shared after the final announcement.

(Card payment unavailable; bank transfer only. Tax invoice or cash receipt can be issued.)

3. Eligibility

• Registered corporations or sole proprietors (Business registration certificate required) 

  • If unregistered, a copy of the representative's ID must be submitted

• For food sales: Valid sanitation permit

• For alcohol sales/tastings: Alcohol sales and sampling permit

Details regarding required documents will be provided separately. Please prepare in advance to meet the submission deadline.

Failure to submit the documents by the specified deadline may result in disqualification from food/alcohol sales or booth participation.



Eligibility for Booth Participation

The festival's theme is "Africa," and only institutions and organizations that meet the following criteria are eligible to participate with a booth.

• The content for display or sale must have a direct and clear connection to African countries, cultures, people, history, resources, etc.

• The connection to Africa must be objectively explainable and clearly recognizable to a third party. The festival organizers will determine the validity of the connection.

Examples

✔ Acceptable: Nigerian coffee, Senegalese crafts, South African fashion brands, a restaurant run by a chef from Africa.

✘ Unacceptable: Traditional Korean food (e.g., bibimbap), general handmade goods, corporate promotions unrelated to Africa.

 

III. Key Dates

Orientation

• Date: August 25 (Mon), 2025, 19:00–21:00 KST (online)

• Attendance: At least one representative per booth must attend.

• Failure to attend will result in disqualification from the festival.

• The orientation will include important decisions such as the final booth layout by organization, so attendance is mandatory.

Event Day

• Booth Setup: Saturday, September 13, 2025 | 09:00 – 11:00

• Booth Operation: Saturday, September 13, 2025 | 11:00 – 19:00

• Booth Dismantling: Saturday, September 13, 2025 | 19:00 – 20:00

*Early withdrawal before the official operating hours may result in disadvantages for participation in future programs.

*We kindly request your cooperation to ensure that your booth is fully ready to operate from 11:00 AM, the official start time of the event.

IV. Important Guidelines for Booth Operation

To ensure a safe, eco-friendly, and satisfying experience for both operators and visitors, please carefully review the following guidelines before applying:

Content Guidelines

Only individuals or organizations whose booth content aligns with the festival's guidelines will be accepted.

a. Content should be directly related to Africa.

b. Avoid overly emphasizing tragic or negative portrayals of Africa.

c. Content endorsing specific religions or political parties is not allowed.

d. Content that may compromise participant safety is restricted.

e. Loud sounds or disruptions to nearby booths are not permitted.

Environmental Considerations

We ask all participants to actively reduce the use of disposables, utilize eco-friendly materials, and minimize waste generation.

Booth Quantity

Each organization or individual may operate only one booth.

Donation receipt cannot be issued.

Refund Policy

A 100% refund is available in cases of unavoidable circumstances (natural disaster, health issues, family emergencies, etc.) if notified to the festival secretariat by August 28 (Sun), 2025 at midnight.

※ Refunds are not available for cancellations due to change of mind after application is submitted.

Alcohol Sales Guidelines (If Applicable)

1) Temporary Permit for Alcohol Sales or Tastings

In principle, alcohol sales without a license are prohibited in Korea. However, for one-time events like festivals, temporary permits can be issued.

Where to Apply:

Local tax office or district public health office

Applications are typically made in the name of the festival organizer.

Example of Required Documents:

• Event plan

• Alcohol sales plan (target audience, types, quantity, price, etc.)

• Venue permission or festival authorization

• Business registration (if available)

• Receipt/proof of alcohol purchase from official wholesalers or manufacturers

2) Alcohol Purchases Must Be via Official Channels

• Purchasing alcohol from regular retail stores (e.g., supermarkets) and selling it is illegal.

• Alcohol must be purchased from licensed wholesalers or producers, for sales purposes only.

• All alcohol must be legitimate, tax-declared, and traceable.

3) Prohibition on Sales to Minors

• Signs stating “No Alcohol Sales to Minors” must be posted.

• A process for verifying IDs must be in place.

4) Health Certificates

• Anyone serving alcohol or providing food alongside alcohol must possess a valid health certificate.

V. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. Can I apply for more than one booth by paying extra?

A. Due to space limitations, only one booth per organization/individual will be granted if selected.

Q. Is parking available? Are parking passes provided?

A. Parking is available at DDP (B1–B3 of the Design Lab). The entrance is accessible via the road south of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park.

However, no free or discounted parking passes will be provided.

Q. Can vehicles enter the venue (e.g., DDP ) for booth setup?

A. No vehicle access to the venue is allowed. All equipment must be transported manually from nearby roads.

Q. Is electricity available at the booth?

A. Yes, each booth will be equipped with electricity and a multi-plug for basic electronic devices such as laptops and phones.

Please limit use to under 1kW per booth. High-power appliances must be approved in advance.

Q. Can I pack up before the official closing time?

A. All booths must operate from 11:00 to 19:00 without exception. Booths must be ready for visitors by 11:00 and operate fully until 19:00. Packing up early without prior approval (except for emergencies) or failing to be ready by 11:00 may result in disqualification from future festivals.

Q: Our community would like to participate in the festival. Is it possible for us to sell food, beverages, or alcohol?

A: Yes, it is possible. However, according to Korean regulations, sales are only permitted if your community can provide all of the following official documents:

• Business Registration Certificate

• General Food Business License

• Liquor Retail License (required only for alcohol sales; if you already have a food business license, a temporary liquor license for the event may be issued separately)

We understand that most African communities may not possess these documents. Therefore, we would like to suggest the following alternative options:

1. Partner with a licensed restaurant:

2. You may collaborate with a restaurant that is officially operating in Korea and holds both a business registration certificate and a food business license. In this case, you may sell food or beverages under the restaurant’s name.

3. Consult with your embassy (if they agree to support you): If your country has an embassy in Korea and, at its own discretion, decides to allow collaboration for the festival, you may explore participating under its credentials.

⚠️Important Note:

Please note that Africa Insight has not entered into any prior arrangements with embassies regarding this option. The possibility of working with an embassy depends entirely on each embassy’s own policies and willingness to assist. We strongly encourage you to approach your embassy with courtesy and seek their advice, understanding that they may or may not be able to accommodate such a request.

If neither of these options is feasible, unfortunately, it will not be possible to sell food or alcohol at the festival due to compliance issues.
