서울의 한복판을 아프리카의 리듬과 에너지로 가득 채울 시간!

서울아프리카페스티벌 퍼레이드는 누구나 함께 참여할 수 있는 열린 축제의 장입니다.

서로 다른 문화가 어우러지고, 음악과 움직임으로 하나 되는 특별한 경험을 함께 만들어보세요.

올해 퍼레이드는 서아프리카 만뎅 음악 기반의 월드뮤직 밴드 ‘DjembeCola(젬베콜라)’와 함께합니다.

‘젬베(Djembe)’와 ‘콜라(Cola)’라는 이름처럼,

전통 타악기와 문화적 상징이 어우러진 리듬의 향연이 펼쳐집니다.

“우리는 모든 음악의 뿌리였던 아프리카 음악에서 출발한다.”

젬베의 울림이 시작되면, 거리에는 생동감이 넘치고

당신의 발걸음 하나하나가 축제를 완성합니다.

각자의 방식으로 리듬을 느끼고,

자신만의 에너지와 감각으로 퍼레이드를 채워주세요.

서울 도심 DDP 거리에서 펼쳐지는 열린 문화 행진에 당신을 초대합니다.

1. 행사 개요

• 행사명: 제8회 서울아프리카페스티벌 (Seoul Africa Festival)
• 일시: 2025년 9월 12일(금)~13일(토)
• 장소: 서울 동대문디자인플라자(DDP) 어울림광장 외
• 주요 프로그램: 퍼레이드, 아시아–아프리카 탤런트 어워드(AFTA), 패션쇼, 부스 전시, 네트워킹 행사 등
• 주최: (사)아프리카인사이트, 서울디자인재단, 주한아프리카외교단

2. 모집 개요

• 모집기간: 2025년 7월 25일(금) ~ 8월 22일(금) 결과발표 : 8월 25일(월) 오후 6시 예정
• 모집인원: 선착순 30명
• 접수방법: 온라인 신청서 작성

3. 퍼레이드 일정

• 일정: 2025년 9월 13일(토) 오전 11:30
• 당일 타임라인
  • 09:30 참가자 집결
  • 10:00 현장 리허설 진행
  • 11:30 퍼레이드 시작

※ 별도의 사전 리허설은 없습니다. 행사 당일 동선 점검을 위한 간단한 리허설이 진행됩니다.

• 퍼레이드는 누구나 자유롭게 참여 가능한 열린 행사입니다.
• 정해진 퍼포먼스 없이, 각자의 스타일과 감각으로 리듬을 표현해주세요.
• 움직임에 제약이 없는 편한 복장, 축제를 즐기고자 하는 열린 마음만 준비해오세요.
• 참여자 전원에게 참여 확인증과 점심 식사가 제공됩니다.

It’s time to fill the heart of Seoul with the vibrant rhythms of Africa!

The Parade of the Seoul Africa Festival is an open and inclusive celebration, where people of all ages and backgrounds come together to share culture and joy through movement and music.

This year, we’ll march alongside DjembeCola, a world music band inspired by the Manding traditions of West Africa.

Just like their name—Djembe (a traditional drum) and Cola (a cultural symbol)—

they represent the powerful blend of rhythm, tradition, and meaning.

“We begin from the roots—African music, where it all started.”

As the djembe beats echo through the streets,

we’ll come alive with energy—moving together, step by step, in unity.

Just your rhythm, your energy, and your expression—shared in a public space of joy.

We invite you to join this vibrant, moving celebration of cultural connection in the streets of Seoul.

1. Festival Overview

• Event Name: 8th Seoul Africa Festival (SAF)
• Dates: September 12 (Fri) – 13 (Sat), 2025
• Venue: Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP), including Oullim Square
• Main Programs: Parade, Asia-Africa Talent Award (AFTA), Fashion Show, Booth Exhibitions, Networking Events
• Hosted by: Africa Insight, Seoul Design Foundation, and the African Diplomatic Corps in Korea

2. Recruitment Details

• Application Period: July 25 – August 22, 2025 *The result will be announced by August 25
• Spots Available: 30 participants (first come, first served)

3. Parade Schedule

• Date: Saturday, September 13, 2025
• On-Site Schedule:
  • 09:30 AM – All participants assemble
  • 10:00 AM – On-site rehearsal
  • 11:30 AM – Parade begins

Note: There will be no rehearsal before the event day—just a brief on-site check before the march.

4. Important Notes

• There is no required performance format—move freely and express your own rhythm.
• Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for movement.
• Bring your open heart and positive energy—that’s all you need to participate!
• All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation and lunch on the event day.
